Single this Valentine’s? Don’t worry! Here are 10 pet cafés you can visit where cuddly pets are waiting for their human date.
After Simplé Lang was featured on KrisTV, I immediately texted my sister that we should eat here and try Sinigang na Crispy Bagnet sa Watermelon. I was curious about it and I wanted to know how it is different from Namnam‘s Sinigang na Beef Short Rib and Watermelon. However, my sister wasn’t feeling well that day, and there’s still no sweldo (hahah!), so we chose not to go.
But after one week, the long wait is over. My sister invited me to have lunch at Simplé Lang kasi pay day na! Yehey!
I arrived first at the restaurant around 11:40 a.m. and fortunately, there were available seats. When I entered the place, the restaurant staff greeted me in chorus, “WELCOME TO SIMPLE LANG!”. I was like “Okay, thanks for welcoming me.” My sister then arrived a few minutes after and she said that it was a good thing that I went early because there’s already a waiting list.
Lunch at Simplé Lang
We ordered Sinigang na Crispy Bagnet sa Watermelon, Spicy Pusit, one cup of Plain Rice, and Rice All You Can (gutom lang po!). While waiting for our meals, we tried the free chicken soup and took some photos of the restaurant.
After having three cups of soup and 20-25 minutes of waiting, Sinigang na Crispy Bagnet sa Watermelon and Spicy Pusit were finally served.
There were only four pieces of bagnet in the Sinigang and I ate two. My sister had the rest. I hope there were more of it because it’s quite pricey.
Simplé Lang’s watermelon-based Sinigang tastes like almost the same of Namnam’s. It was hot, slightly sweet, and not too sour. But I enjoyed eating the former because I have eaten the vegetables (which I don’t usually do) and I have partnered it with plain rice. When I tried Namnam’s Sinigang, I had flavored rice.
My sister ate the Spicy Pusit and according to her, it wasn’t spicy at all. But I really liked the way it was presented.
We decided to order more and we chose Fried Chicken Pandan and Mango Madness Crush.
The Mango Madness Crush would have been perfect, if not for that melted ice cream scoop. Still, we liked it.
I enjoyed my simple and satisfying lunch at Simplé Lang and I’ll be coming back for its Crispy Palabok and Kare-Kare.
